E) Homework Assignment

Homework Assignment

Try creating clearly defined guitar pieces for the verse and chorus of a song. Remember the guidelines: the chorus should be catchy and infectious; the verse should help move the ideas of the song along, as well as helping to strengthen the mood and emotions inherent in the song.

Students enrolled in the Actoguitar songwriting module or course should build upon previous lessons by adding real structure to the songs they've been working on. If you have spent time developing the melody, lyrics, and guitar riff for your chorus, begin to focus on the corresponding elements for your verse, and vice versa if you have been focusing on the verse of your song.

Once you have your musical piece created, share it with the the ActoGuitar community by adding it to the contributors forum to get feedback so that you can sharpen your songwriting skills!
