how do you use a pitch pipe

Hey Andrew, welcome to ActoGuitar

Pitch pipes are kind of hard to use, in my opinion, because you need to blow through the pipe to make a note, and then match the sound of that note with the sound of your guitar string by ear. This can be kind of tough. A much easier solution is a guitar tuner, which tells you if you are out of tune or not, and whether you need to tighten or loosen your string.
