It might be a good idea to start with the acoustic and if you feel you are getting somewhere with it then get an electric also,by that i mean have both.

Possibly an electric/acoustic may be the way to go.From what i have read in articles starter packs aren't the best thing to buy, maybe spending your budget on a good acoustic alone could be something to think about and get the other things seperately at a later date.

Although i might be completely wrong at least its something to think about.
